Frequently asked questions

How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching is forward-looking work on goals, habits, performance and transitions with a trained coach. Therapy addresses distress and mental health concerns with a clinician. Many people use one, some move between the two.
Who is Manah coaching for?
Individuals working on a change they care about, and managers and leaders who want support with the human side of their role. Organisations also sponsor coaching for specific groups.
Is what I say in coaching confidential?
Yes. Coaching conversations are confidential. Sponsoring organisations receive only aggregated participation information.
How many sessions do people usually take?
Coaching works best as a short series rather than a one-off, so that goals set in one session can be tested between sessions. Your coach agrees a rhythm with you in the first conversation.
