Frequently asked questions
- What happens in a Manah support group?
- A small group meets with a trained facilitator around a shared theme, such as stress, caregiving or a life transition. You can listen as much as you speak, and the facilitator keeps the space safe and structured.
- Is a support group the same as group therapy?
- No. Support groups are facilitated peer spaces for shared experience and coping. Where someone needs clinical care, the facilitator can point them towards counselling or therapy.
- Is what I share kept private?
- Groups run on an explicit confidentiality agreement: what is shared in the group stays in the group, and nothing is reported back to an employer at an individual level.
- Who can join?
- Individuals can join open groups, and organisations run closed groups for their own people. Joining a group does not require a diagnosis or a referral.
